Girls Leadership Institute – teach the practices of emotional intelligence, assertive self-expression and healthy relationships.

Kidpower – nonprofit organization that seeks to empower people of all ages and abilities by helping them learn how to stay safe, act wisely and believe in themselves.  Occasionally holds workshops for people with special needs to identify their strengths and then to practice ways of using those strengths to help themselves stay safe.  Contact them at 800-467-6997 or safety@kidpower.org.

Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights (PACER) – group who focuses on bullying.

Project Cornerstone – their program, the Asset Building Champion (ABC), is now being used in some of our area schools.  The program includes books and lessons that are brought into each classroom to promote techniques and strategies for making all kids feel valued, respected and known in the school community.
